Some of his religious depictions include various Madonnas (Litta and Madonna of the rocks) Adoration of the Magi, The Last Supper fresco, John the Baptist, Saint Gerome etc. He painted allegories from mythology such as Leda and the Swan, now lost and works which depicted battles such as The Battle of Anghiari fresco.

Well, Leonardo Da Vinci had painted and drawn many paintings. His most well known are The Mona Lisa, and Madonna of the Rocks. He also did countless drawings of human anatomy. Just go to any browser and type in his name, and there are many good webstes out there that are chuck full of pictures and info.

The earliest known drawing by Leonardo is dated August 5, 1473. It's a landscape, showing the valley of the Arno and Montelupo Castle. He loved to explore the hills where he lived.
He painted what he knew.
He collected every free thing the land had to offer.
He had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge--which later lead to drawing his inventions (now on view in the Palm Springs, CA Air Museum).
He painted people, religious scenes...I'm partial to his horses and his "simple" sketches.
