I'm from the Philly area. When my husband and I were looking at places to get a quicky wedding and then honeymoon, we took a couple of days to visit the poconos....and we say no way! This IS a nice area....but those honeymoon places...all tacky from the 60-70's era. Very musky odors even in the rooms with the glass baths. Now if you like skiing...then rent a chalet...or condo with fireplace and enjoy yourselves. Even western PA has nice ski resorts like hidden valley and seven springs.
