I am one of Martin Sensei's Black Belts!
My Answers are as follows:
1. It's Old Sakugawa Lineage from Okinawa!
2. It is Un-changed in the way it is taught!
3. It is the manner of the training!
4. He is a great Instructor!

Al Martin, Sensei is one of the best Old style Shorin Ryu Instructors in the world. I have been in the Martial Arts for fifty years mates and this bloke can not be beat!

Al Martin, Sensei Is one of the Top Instructors for children ages 2-18 and Adults. His Karate system is an Authenic old Okinawa system from the Sakugawa family. Al Martin Sensei is a former U.S. Marine M.P. of twelve years and he has a Masters degree in education M.ed and an Associates degree in child psychology and a C.D.A. in Child Developement and Growth. He teaches in seven county school systems (in the schools) in south Florida. He also does the stranger danger and pedophile Awarness Training for nine Florida Counties.

Al Martin, Sensei is one Awsome Shorin Ryu Karate Instructor. I am Glad to have met him. Avery Wax, Sensei is incompentant and is the one who changes diapers his own (Depends)!

I have been in MA for 37 years and never heard of him? Shorin Ryu is a strong good style if taught well. So is Al is good teacher then his students will be too if their desire to learn is true.

Dont put your eggs all in one basket. Check all the schools out, see what they offer, try some free classes at them and pick the one that seems best for you. See if Al know his lineage.

He is Awesome! He also teaches like 9,700 People! So jump right on that waiting list. Your best chance is to be taught by one of his students like my Sensei! John Mayzack or Kevin VanHall.

One of the best lines of Okinawa Karate around! He won the President's point of light award for 2006!

He is very well known in Florida and Georgia and Alabama, Tennesse! He is one of the best of the old Masters kind of like the Bruce Lee of Old Style Karate!
