the honor system just doesnt work... that’s why its state/federal law.

If you have a deadbeat (male or female), there is some hope.
First you need a child support court order, it must be filed. Contact your local court house and ask how and where to go to file these. After you have the child support order, and he/she doesn’t pay…
1) contact your child support caseworker ask for a hearing for a warrant to be issued
2) if you collect welfare or assistance of any kind, HE is responsible to repay it.
3) if the CS dept isnt working, contact the regional federal office, that will put on some heat
4) if he is working under the table, you can have his/her property attached, and in some cases, forced to sell it.
5) if he/she is hiding it (putting things in others names [like their mommy for instance]), there are laws against it.

6) contact legal aid in your area. Every state has legal aid, and they go on a sliding scale, so the legal services are free to most people. look in the phone book or call the court clerk for the number (they know of legal aid).
7) Most states have a automatic cost of living raise in child support every 2 years.
8) Post his/her pic online at deadbeat sites; some states already do this, some do not. but you can submit to a couple I’ve listed below.
9) Supportkids is an org that helps collect arrears, but charge a percentage… worth it to give them a chunk. 70% beats nothing.

Check the links below; click on your state, and find the child support section.

I dont know about your state but it aint like that in Ohio. Child support can take your tax refund your drivers license and all kinds of stuff..bottom line is they treat this seriously and i wouldnt waste time with posting all that...i would go directly to your local sea if theres an issue and if you cant get your problem fixed with the support agency than go to the county ombudsman.
venting your spleen is understood...getting the bucks is alot more productive.

Women should be required to have a man's consent before giving birth. Otherwise, she shouldn't be entitled to child support.

Great information, but I don't think that's really a question!
