We all need to be learning. But I'm not sure just what you are referring to, so it's hard to explain why some Christians react that way.
I know some people think they have to be nasty when responding to a comment they disagree with. They think they're in politics - only they wouldn't make very good politicians either.

I know I DEFINATELY do not know everything. I think that the Bible is so in depth that a person studying it for their entire life can not know everything. Christians should not respond to *any* post hatefully. It does not show our true spirit.

We have to maintain our humility sometimes.Sometimes people tell you what you already know,it gets annoying, but it makes them feel good if you just seem interested. We have to have teachable spirits, and just be humble towards one another. My husband always thinks hes telling me stuff I just dont know about. He aggravates me,but I guess it makes him feel superior. So I just most times indulge his ego, unless I want an argument. Then I simply say oh really, your not telling me anything I dont already know. Then his fragile ego kicks in and we have an argument or 2,or 3 or 4.Then I just say stop acting like the devil,or get the behind me satin. That usually works.

Good Question.
Over half of my questions are removed because people get offended. It is their ignorance of their history and religion. The most shocking events and taboos that we can imagine have likely happened before and are explained in condensed versions within the bible.
Holy book?
Maybe. Maybe it is fiction.
No doubt it captures the coming of age within the human condition.

People who respond that way are insecure in their faith. Saint Paul never acted like that, nor did the other Apostles.

Even you don't know everything? That's funny.
I think when it comes to religion everybody believes they have the correct answer.....and it sometimes makes them upset when what they think they know is challenged.

Only God knows everything. Intellectual arrogance is a sin, while humility is a virtue.
