But I know of so many people trying to build bridges between Islam and Christianity

Christianity was born on the Crosses on which Two Thieves named Jesus were crucified in place of the Christ and Barabbas.
Islam is the original religion and the Quran confirms whatever is the tuth from previous Scripture and exposes the fallacies that have been added to corrupt the Scriptures.
The Christ is the most serious threat between Islam of the Children of Israel and Islam of the Muslims and Christianity.
Christianity has taken the Christ and made him a pagan son of god and god himself, which god is Zeus the weather god in a mixture of Jah and the father and the holy ghost and the son.
Jerusalem is the point of contact of these religions where there is a War against Muslims because they hold the Truth in the Quran and the others will like to suppress the Truth, but Truth will prevail.

little or no! the entire OT is a form and shadow of Jesus Christ as God in the course of the Feasts and Sabbaths. Prophetic note from Isaiah through Daniel and so on and so on all inform you at the same time as, how and what he will be, at the same time as He will be born and die and so on and so on to fulfill those prophecies. with the intention to venerate Jesus and the OT is to have self belief that Jesus is the Son of God. Then there is the small remember of the utterances of those OT prophets because they, too, must be mendacity, asserting that Jesus is Immanuel - 'God with us'! Jesus stated many circumstances that He became the Son of God - subsequently He won't be able to be a prophet of islam because their prophets are without blemish and subsequently won't be able to be liars? I requested a question about the similarities between the prophecies of Islam and the OT some days in the past, I were given 2 responses. in the journey that they were similar, then the solutions would have overflowed.

There is no "relationship" between The True Christian Faith and islam. Never has been and never will be... islam is the sworn ememy of all Christians. Christians did not start, nor do they want, the fight. But islam has commited to a death struggle and that is what it will be untill The One True God eliminates his enemies at the end of this earth.

islam says convert or die. islam says it is an atack on their religion to attempt to comvert a muslim to christianity, so they must declare war to protect their people from the godless. So there is no relation between the two.
