Like abortion, divorce, war, church discipline, lending and borrowing money, etc.? Doesn't God want the church to be united? Doesn't God want individual Christians to know how they should live?

The Bible was written by primitive, superstitious people who were mixing Jewish folklore with pagan religious beliefs to start up a religion.

Most people who believe this book, haven't read it very closely, because it simply cannot stand up to basic common sense.

Some examples of contradictions:
"For I am merciful, saith the Lord, and I will not keep anger forever." (Jeremiah 3:12)
"Ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn forever." (Jeremiah 17:4)

"If I testify about myself, my testimony is not valid." (John 5:31)
"Jesus answered: Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid." (John 8:14)

"And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth." (Matthew 28:18)
"the whole world is under control of the evil one." (1 John 5:19)

And Jesus said, "For judgement I am come into this world." (John 9:39)
"I came not to judge the world" (John 12:47)

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)
"Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 6:1)

"Jacob said, 'I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.'" (Genesis 32:30)
"No man hath seen God at any time." (John 1:18)

We should fear God (Matthew 10:28)
We should love God (Matthew 22:37)
There is no fear in love (1 John 4:18)

It may be scary to decide what's right for yourself. But I suggest you try it. Good luck.

The Bible provides us with the knowledge we NEED to know to live our lives toward the ultimate goal, salvation. If it's not recorded in there, there is no reason to know it. Some scriptures are clear which direction we should take, and some are "gray areas." It's not only the THOU SHALT and the THOU SHALT NOTS we apply to our lives, but the examples, necessary inferences and implications that the early Christians did to find favor with God, as told to us in the Bible.
For your specific questions, there are definite answers that you can read for yourself:
Abortion - Genesis 9:5-6, Exodus 21:22-25, Jeremiah 1:5 and many more.
Divorce - Matthew 19:8-9, 5:31-32, 1Corinthians 7:10-11, Luke 16:18, Romans 7:1-3, (just a few)
God does speak against division e.g, 1 Cor. 10-13, John 17:20-21. etc.
All the answers you are looking for is there, just study.

Well, let's see,1) God says not to kill, it's a sin, and since abortion is the killing of an unwanted child, well there's your answer for that. There shouldn't be any misunderstandings of what abortion is or at what stage it's a child, it's murder. 2) God says that you should not divorce, but if you do, it should only be under the circumstances of adultury, again there's your answer. 3) War causes death, and killing is a sin! 4) Lending money is considered giving and that's a good thing. 5) borrowing is considered not being good with money, but I'm not sure if that's a sin or not, but it's not good anyway you look at it.

On some of the issues there is unambiguous guidance. However, God, the author of the Bible, wanted us to know how to think spiritually, not just follow a bunch of rules and regulations. He wants true believers to be united, but not necessarily in a kind of union where we are all in one big organization, or where we all think exactly alike like clones.
On many of these issues, there are grey areas, too, and we have to apply them according to our social context.

Well I can't say anything that hasn't already been said. As for the Bible contradicting itself... it really is amazing how you took all those verses out of context. I was taught to study the Bible to learn and not to prove a point. If I find a contradiction (or what appears to be one), I look into it more. Usually I find it's a context issue. It is easy to twist the Bible to say what you want (or to show it's fallacy) if you don't really study it. But if you really study a topic you'll find the Bible is pretty clear and concise.

Isaiah 35:8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. Do people complicate something that is too simple, too easily understood for them?

Because Jesus Christ founded and gave authority only to the church to do such things.

He never founded, or gave authority over his church, to the Bible.
