Well logically it couldn't happend if you really think about it,how can two people populate the world? its fact that when children are born as an inbred lots of problems happen, like genetic illnesses and so on......so i think the evolution explains how we come along.

"If we came from Apes, why are there still Apes? "
The word apes have connotations of the apes that are living today. We did not evolve from them but rather a common ancestor. Just because we are considered more intelligent does not mean we are the ultimate product of evolution - far from it. Something to think about - a T.Rex is more genetically related to the sparrow in your garden than reptiles....have a read.
Anyway, to the question. The story of Adam and Eve is a useful tool to teach people the consequence of their actions - nothing more.
This, of course, is my opinion - there are plenty of more intelligent people than me who would disagree...

To be honest, i am a rock solid Christian at heart
and yet I very much doubt it.
I believe that evolution and God go hand in hand.
heresy ????? not really.
i would need time to explain and it is late but i think Adam and Eve may be an analogy for mankind.
My beliefs allow me to not be disspirited or led astray by any fantastic new discoveries !!!
i heard there might be life on mars.
my answer.................................
so what.
When Adam first became Adam, it was when the spirit of God came into him. i am sure this is somewhere in the Bible although it may be hidden. that is what i believe. I.e. the descent of the spirit of man that makes us so different from the animals.
it is one of the keys to life.

Firstly. No Adam and Eve did not exist. It's just part of the fiction of religion.
Secondly.Whoever taught you we come from apes got it wrong.
Both humans and apes evolved from a common ancestor

No don't believe them darling - how could we possibly descend from apes; they're such a bunch of bickering, back-biting socialites. No it's true, the world was created in forty days and forty nites, and Eve really was made from one of Adam's ribs. And we can all blame the downfall of the world on Eve and all women and the serpent dildo.

Somebody was on about Genghis Khan having millions of decendants. He is aparently the ancestor of 16 million people!! omg, dirty stop out! lol...anyway! I found this sentence in the same article.
By analyzing DNA from people in all regions of the world, geneticist Spencer Wells has concluded that all humans alive today are descended from a single man who lived in Africa around 60,000 years ago.
So there was a single man we all come from, his name may not of been Adam though!! more than likely it wasn't...but anyhow, he may of been the next link up from an ape, he was probably one of the first recognised men. We are all in breds = )
Ok then it's not the next link up from an ape up, but he was a man as we recognise a man today. We were not apes but we came from a common ancestor. That's what I was trying to say!!
How do you know that God didn't just create the big bang and the bible is the story of when humans first came into exsistance and evolved into humans as we see them today? Why do Christians think that evolution is wrong. Perhaps that's the way God wanted it to be.

The story of Adam and Eve has much to teach, but it is just a story.
Btw, we didn't come from apes, but we do share a common ancestor.

YES! They were, and they were the first two humans God created when He made the universe. Eve committed the very first act of disobedience towards God (sin), then Adam did, and they passed sin down to us so everyone in the entire world that has lived and will ever live is sinful. Sin is what separates us from God, who is holy (sinless/perfect) - we are all wicked no matter how we might seem on the outside. The penalty for sin is death and an eternity in hell. There's no way we can save ourselves from it.
But, around 2000 years ago, God sent His son, Jesus Christ to take our punishment and die a brutal death for us! And, guess what...He rose again from the dead and ascended into heaven! Yeah, it's true!!!!! So now, if you confess that you are a sinner, and are truly sorry for it, and believe that Jesus rose from the dead, you will be saved from your sin and you'll spend eternity in heaven with the Lord!
As far as the evolutionary THEORY, people use that to suppress the truth (creationism) and because it's taught in schools now, everyone thinks that that's how we got here...don't believe it!
;)
PS this is all a brief overview of the amazing news...gimme your email addy if you want to know more!

I think Adam and Eve were real, and the Bible only helps to justify it. Many secular historians believe that life originated in the fertile crescent, which is the land between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. The Tigris is mentioned in Genesis as well as the mountain where Noah's ark landed, Mt. Ararat which is located in Turkey. You can find out more about the scientific evidence written by scientists conducting their own research at www.icr.org
