About 3 years ago, I slipped off a wet porch and landed on the cement 3 steps down. I landed on my right butt cheek, creating a massive bruise, a knot and a broken tailbone. Ever since then, at least once a week, I have severe, sharp pain in the right cheek, where the knot is. I dont generally have pain in my thigh, though sometimes, however, not at the same time as my cheek. The pain is intense enough that I cant sit on the cheek. I went to the dr. when this happened, but have not gone back for the pain. Some people say sciatic, however, I dont have any bulging disks, herniated disks, etc. Does anyone have any ideas??? Thanks in advance!

Try putting an empty plastic bottle of water in the freezer and when the pain comes on sit on this ice .
Sounds like soreness and spasms from the fall.
U can also put a magnet where u hurt, pull the one off your car or fridge and put on the pain.
Motrin should help also.

ask a doctor again...maybe you need some physical therapy, or some muscle relaxants... I've heard of bruises that last for several months, but 3 years sounds like it could be more serious, and also, if you compensate for not being able to sit in a normal way, you could end up doing long term damage to other parts of your back/body.
