Well, if someone is different, then they are unknown. People don't understand things that are different that what they know and they fear things that they don't understand, it's human nature. The line between fear and hatred is faded and smeared. People are judgmental because they are ignorant and lack empathy. When someone is different, they follow the traditions built on ignorance and discrimination, rather than trying to change. Human emotions are complex to explain but I hope you have a better understanding of why people are judgmental.

Sweetheart... I am wondering the same thing! Truth is, I believe its fear- the world is affraid of what they do not know and change is going to come regardless most of the time, unexpectedily!
Steps of life to take:
1. Dare to be diffrent.
2. Dream big! Then erase that dream and dream of another an even bigger dream, recreate it until you have exactly what your searching for.
3. When all else fails! Repeat steps 1 and 2- again and again!
Wisdom I've learned through time- Do not burn your bridges for no one, no man, no humanbeing and always ask for advice and filter it but take it all in! Learn from experience. Old people are wiser than you know. Learn from other people's mistakes- but if finding out for yourself is what you need to do, then do it with a note pad in your hands and try not to make the same mistakes you've made twice unless its one that isn't going to affect anyone or thing! Live your life with no regrets but regret everything that made you cry.
The best pain medicine is *Unconditional love.
Pride is a dangerous man that can get you off balanced and in too deep, so always be humble- always! Remember... What goes around comes again!

This is really weird. I've been thinking along the same line of all you have written especially about the Christians being judgmental and all. I'm a Christian and I have never interferred with another's personal life or commented on their misforturne. So in conclusion, I have come up with an attitude of IDGAS = I don't give a s--t what people think as long as I know I'm doing right by all. The saying 'do unto others as you would have them do unto you' should also include - but watch your back too!!
I found that allowing alot of people to be part of our lives creates a circle of gossip. My friends are few, hand picked by me and I love them because they respect me for being the private person I am.
Bless your heart honey - Just don't turn into one of them. We need more on our side!!! Have a nice Holiday!!!

Societal forces like the media covertly aim at making the masses more uniform and thereby more marketable. Uniqueness, being different, is dangerous to social order--or if not that, at least a particular social subcode. Power operates throughout the social body, creating points of uniformity. Be proud to be a force of resistance, questioning conformity. The truth, and it is a truth which is BOTH positive and negative, is that fundamentally there is no viable universal constant holding together general human nature. This is of course tragic, but it also allows for healthy and interesting diversity. Be strong and proud of the things that make you an individual, one who thinks independently. I feel people are often judgmental, sometimes without realizing it. Our society can be very intolerant even though it claims to be ultra-tolerant. Look at what "nerds" have to deal with growing up. Or homosexuals. Or the intellectually gifted. Or those with a unique creative vision. It's tough. I experience it myself. Some of the conformity is biological, some is pragmatic, but most is cultural/social.

because they are afraid that they see this in themselves. people sometimes like to judge people because if they see things they don't like or agree, it makes them feel better about themselves. bible thumpers believe u just need to believe and everything will be wonderful. that does not always work for everyone. you also have to work on your problems and also help yourself too. you have to believe in yourself also, and use your god given sense to help you in your life.
