life in los angeles. some people don't know how to use their atm's others pay with ebt, what ever that is, others cash their checks and we all have to wait until the check gets approved by manager, other lines like "" only 15 items or less" yet people go with their cart full like there is no tomorrow, others divide their groceries into 3 different sections, to pay 3 different times. i'm fed up with this. what have been your nightmares at the stores?

You know what bugs me the most is when you go to the self check out where you can only have 12 or less items and people go through there with a cart full of stuff. It makes me so mad.

By the way EBT is a food stamps card. Most of the people that get it need to get a job and they don't need it.

Anything that involves NOT going at 6:30 a.m.

Screaming brats, shelves out of stuff, people who want cigarettes and when the cashier goes to get them they keep changing their mind, welfare, WIC, people who don't understand what the cashier is saying, when they go over their check amount and have to pick out things they can't buy, not enough lanes open, 2 cartfuls in the express lane, people who want to rearrange their bagging before they pay, etc...

This is why I shop at 6:30 a.m. Everyone knows me now, they'll get stuff for me if it's not stocked, and I can zoom through the store without running into slow-shoppers.

15 items or less. Family with 3 overflowing carts. and I am in line behind them. I enbrass the heck out of them.

" I wish some people could count"
" There are more than 15 items if you went by food groups"
" I didn't know it was shallow end of the gene pool day"

People start laughing, they get upset and the manager will open a line and let me be first just to shut me up and out of there

Having to wait in a long line, when I have more than 15 items and when my driver will be there for me in15 minutes but 25 min. later the clerk is just getting to me and my driver is in the store waiting for me.And most of the stores checkout lanes are for SELF check out (which means the customer must have to know how to run the machine and I don't). And I must write a check and it seems to take longer to do it.

I remember standing in line and a woman in front of me was buying something and she was going to use a check. I stood there for 20 minutes until someone told the cashier that it was ok to use a out of state check. Then there was the time I was standing in line and the people in front of me used their change (pennies, dimes, nickles) to pay for their purchase and the cashier had to stand their and count it. My mom told me that she was waiting in line and the cashier let someone get in front of my mom. If I had been in their I would have told that cashier off and complain to the manager about it.

This is probably stupid stuff for me to complain about because there are worse things could happen.

People with dozens of coupons. People that stand so freakin close to you in line that you can feel them breathing down the back of your neck. Someone that is half blind and forgot their glasses taking 5 or more minutes to write a check.
And the topper is....
Stopped in a wal mart for something they had one regular check stand, one express. Like no shoppers to speak of I had too much stuff to go through the express at the regular check stand no one in line. This woman starts arguing with the cashier about the price a pair of shoes rings up as. Takes 15 minutes for them to clear it up. The shoes were on sale the week before they forgot to take the sign down and let the woman buy them for the sale price. She saved $1.00 oooooo one whole stinkin dollar!

This is a wonderful topic for a Sociology term paper or bigger. On a 'day off', stand around - on the customer's side - and carefully watch what customers actually do and try to understand why they make these little, but strange, decisions.

You should go grocery shopping during the week in the morning when it's all retirees shopping.

No screaming kids, no people with their carts in the middle of the aisles, plenty of cashiers and baggers not on break.

It's like a kid in a tub of cold water-in & out quick.
