I'm planning on getting my septum peirced. BUT I'm afraid to. One of my ears always gets swollen and has pus when i put earning in. Will the same thing happen if I get my septum done?

It sounds more like an infection to me because only one ear gets that way. I would get it done and watch it carefully If it gets that way go to your doctor.

If you are allergic to silver then your whole body most likely is.

You can try other metals like gold or platinum.

More than likely, because if you're allergic in one area, then you're allergic. Consider gold or brass, since they are different metals than silver. Also, you could consider surgical grade steel for the piercing.

The septum will be MORE sensitive to this metal which you are allergic to.

You might try hypo-allergenic gold posts in your ears for a few months. If you don't have any problems, then you should use hypo-allergenic gold everywhere else.

Yes, if you have an allergy to something it will affect any part of your body that comes in contact with it
