A God worthy of worship would have mercy on those that are consistently disobedient. Otherwise, s/he would be no more than an advanced creature with its own agenda.

god has always been merciful...it took over 800 years for god to lose his mercy with the hebrews and allow the fall of jerusalem..read ezekial

Because we are not perfect like God; we are all sinners. God forgives those who sincerely want to be forgiven, & accepts our imperfections.
