As long it is under 3.4 oz?

I was just concerned about the packaging being different, (in the "stick" sense vs. the picture of lotions, etc) on the airline's website.

Lip balm (think chapstick type) if fine. Lip ointment (think tube of blistex) should go in your 1 quart clear plastic bag. My last two trips I brought both as described above with no problems whatsoever.

If it under 3.0oz you should be ok, keep it in your purse so that if there is a problem, the airline can give you a plastic bag to put it in.

yes if it is under 3 ounces it is fine.... it's actually the government not the airlines who make up the security regulations

It's not the airline so much as the airport security. You can get more information at: http://wehow.ehow.com/how_2003583_pack-holiday-travel.html
