I suffered with bulimia for about 7 years. I would eat the exact same thing every day at the exact same time and if I couldn't throw it up - I'd take laxatives - up to 15 a day when I finally stopped. And how did I stop? My heart starting racing and I was lying on the bathroom floor waiting to have a heart attack. I literally thought that was it for me and I was going to die. I talked to my sister-in-law after that happened (she's a nurse) and I got into therapy. That was about 15 - 16 years ago. I'm still in therapy, I still have body issues but I have a much healthier relationship with food and I've never gone back. Never.

I have a website where people post their stories about going through eating disorders. If anyone left their e-mail address you can ask them.
