the tests usually say that the morning is the best time to take it. and most of them can detect it up to five days after you miss, or earlier.

Most pregnancies tests say you can do it from the day you miss your period...I always go with wait until a week after your missed period because your pregnancy levels (hCG) are higher in your body and give you a more accurate reading in the end...the day of your missed period the number is somewhere around 25 and if you wait another week to test the number goes all the way up to 100 which has a lot more certainty in the results....

You can take the test anytime of day, but the best time to take it is first thing in the morning with your first urine. You have a higher HCG levels.
