does anyone know any good japanese cameras to buy? preferably cheap toyish ones? I'll be visiting tokyo soon so I want to stock up. any ideas on where to find them too?

Cheap cameras are from China and Korea, not Japan.

Holga, Lomo, Seagull are just a few brands of cameras that are cheap and toyish but they are made in Russia and China. Japanese cameras, in particular their digital slr's tend to be top-of-the-line and expensive.

Those cheap toy camera doesn't have English OSD (display). And they are not made in Japan usually, basically in China and imported one.
