Has a chef and a ex supermarket junior manager! We were told by the egg producers to always keep eggs at room temp. But the local EHO insist they must abide by the Food Safety Act and be stored at below 5 degrees Celsius. The most dangerous of bacterias grow on the outside of the egg and can be quickly eradicated by good hand washing procedures. If you try to fry a cold egg, the chances are the yolk will split because of the shock of the hot fat and then ruins a runny yolk!

As everybody else has reported, you do purchase eggs from a refrigerated case - I even have by no potential seen eggs that weren't refrigerated. interior the U. S., eggs are required to be stored at or under 40 5 °F in the process delivery and at shops to steer away from any attainable micro organism recent from multiplying. If an egg has been un-refrigerated for extra beneficial than 2 hours it's going to be thrown away. Refrigeration additionally somewhat does save eggs brisker - the whites get thinner; the yolks get flatter and destroy extra actual while the egg isn't refrigerated. So use that little egg tray on your eggs!

i don't know why fridge makers make the place for eggs to go, you are not meant to keep them in a fridge, the egg shell is so thin that it will absorb all the smells from the fridge, this is why when making some foods chefs put the truffles n with the eggs to absorb the taste and smell. saying that tho i still put mine in the fridge.

there is no need to keep eggs in the fridge, although some would advise you to... but if they had to be kept like that then the shops would have to also
if you do store them in the fridge you should take them out for about 30 minutes and let them return to room temperature before you use them

The way people in developing nations keep their eggs is usually room temperature.
I believe that if the eggs have never been refrigerated, they are fine at room temperature for a reasonable period of time.
Once eggs have been refrigerated, then they must be kept that way until used.

You shouldn't keep them in the fridge mate. Eggs should be stored at room temperature in a dry, dark place.

They dont have to be kept in the fridge, it makes them taste funny and when boiling the egg the shell is more likely to crack, and the yolk more likely to burst when frying it
