About 4 days ago I noticed the right side of the back of my mount, almost in my throat (near the base of the right, back side of my tongue) had become very soar…over the past few days its has been extremely uncomfortable especially when I move my tongue (so basically when I talk, eat, swallow anything, yawn, etc…) Its pretty painful, it makes it a little bit difficult to brush my teeth…I have had canker soars in the past (I don’t know whether or not this is just a bad canker soar,) and I know that this isn’t just a soar throat (its ONLY the right side, at the base of the back of my tongue, almost in my throat.) I don’t know what to do…My plan was to wait a week and see if it would just go away, otherwise go to the doctor…but has anyone else ever experienced something like this? What could this be?

Thanks a lot! :)

Most likely its a canker sore, experienced plenty of times. They hurt like a *bleep* so I feel your pain. Gargle w/ salt water, listerine, that hurts even more but it quickens the healing process. My brother has breakouts throughout his entire mouth and throat (worst scenario ever!) and the doctor recommended that to prevent canker sores he should gargle w/ hydrogen peroxide. I haven't done it but my brother says it's the nastiest thing ever but it worked for a while. If you go to a doctor they sometimes give you another type of mouthwash only available my precription, works wonders! Good luck

U could have a wisdom tooth inflamed, try to gargle with some apple-cider vinegar warm water with a pinch of salt in it.
Put a wet teabag in the freezer and let freeze and then put on the soreness. Motrin would probably help too.
Most likely it is a tooth or your sinuses shifting....take sudafed

I am thinking mouth ulcer or even canker sore as you mentioned. Get to your dentist and let him do a quick check. In the interim, gargle with warm salt water and follow with Listerine gargle.

Good luck, dear one.
