Gear shift wont come out of park. I have to use my key to use the safty switch to get the car out of park. What could be the problem. I have played with the fuse and when I wiggle it, the shift comes out of park sometimes. There is nothing wrong with the fuse it self (tested it). Do I have to put it in another way or do I have a bigger problem. ANY HELP!

The bushings in the linkage are going bad. Some of the nissan maxima SE's have cable for a linkage, and the cable gets frayed from trying to shift it to fast, and hard.

Most likely the shifter solenoid is sticky with soft drink, or just tired. Wiggling the fuse just helps the shifter electrical to release. Make sure the brake lights work.
