your question is kind of non-descriptive, but if you mean like home hydrogen peroxide then it slightly-I mean very very slightly lightens if you put it on a strand...but goodness don't do it. It's not worth what you will do to your hair. Regular haircolor-like at a salon has the color that you mix with a particular type of special peroxide, this enables the color to penetrate the hairshaft-but peroxide on it's own I don't think would do anything

Yes, peroxide will dye your hair but, it depends on your natural hair color. If you have black, or dark brown hair-peroxide will dye your hair yellow which is, unnatural. Honestly, its best to use a dye from the store.

peroxide will dye your hair (most likely platinum blonde) but it is very bad for it. it is drying. use a color from your drugstore because they have easy-tofollow instructions. or, for even better results, have a pro do it.

I've heard it bleaches. Make an appt. at the salon instead. It will be worth the extra money.

no...peroxide bleaches your hair so blonde its noe even funny...i had a friend that did that once. his hair turned out REALLY REALLY BAD. dont do it.

no it can be used to lighten, that is what they did in the 80's, but it will usually turn you hair orangeish... do not do it...
