i got my belly button pierced and it hurts the first day when you get it but when your getting it done they do it really fast so the major pain is done in about less then 1 minute. To clean it make sure you use sea salt && put it in a glass with warm water and place it on your stomach lie down and put the rim of the glass around your belly button that will clean it, dont use dial soap thats what the place i went to told me to use but dial soap kills 99.9% of the germs so it kills the germs your belly button needs to heal. Also make sure that the ring is the right size make sure that it is not to big because other wise the piercing will become infected and the hole will shift and become crooked. If there is any redness around it down touch it with your hands just use the sea salt you should use that 3 times a day for i think its 4 weeks. At some places they may be able to numb it because I do know a few people that got it numbed but I would call around, because you might be able to find a place that will numb it. When you get it done you cant see them using the needle because they make you lay down. I hope this helped good luck.

1.) Find a licensed body piercer.
2.) Make sure that they sterilize the jewelry (not all places sterilize jewelry, some just sanitize it- it is a big difference)
3.) Do not drink alcohol before you go, it is a blood thinner and will cause you to bleed more than usual.
4.) It will hurt, but not very much, just a little pinch.
5.) Follow the aftercare suggestions- antibacterial soap, sea salt, a good piercer will give you detailed instructions.
6.) It may take up to 6 months for it to heal completely, so be patient.

Please note everyone: NAVAL= related to the branch of armed services called the Navy

NAVEL= Belly button

The skinnier you are, the more it'll hurt. Let me warn you though that it'll leave an ugly scar and it'll hurt like hell when you're pregnant. Out of all my piercings, the belly button was the only one that scarred and the only one that'll ever hurt in the future.

u cant really do anything beforehand but it does hurt for a while...dont wear too tight shirts for a while, just to prevent them from getting caught on a thread or rubbing against it...i had to figure that out the hard way...and b careful getting up from a table or desk because it might get stuck under the table while u are going up...that really hurts the worst

just breath and stay relaxed don't even think about whats going on and don't look down at the needle it helps a lot. make sure to clean it like 3 times a day and don't change it till they say so. make sure you just get a standard barbell don't get anything special yet that's what you should look forward to when its done healing. i hope this helps you good luck!!

it hurts but it helps sooo much if you stay calm before, I got it done twice because the first time the piercer did it too shallow and it just didnt work out, anyway it will make a huge difference if you just breathe deeply and keep yourself calm your nerves will totally make it worse, and be sure to take care of it

do not use rubbing alcohol or neosporin on it ever! i know it sounds weird but dont let other people touch it either, some people like to look with their hands. also some people share naval rings dont ever do that. especially with a naval that is not compleatly healed. that is like sharing needles. it really doesnt hurt that bad. just breathe out as theyre puting the needle in.

The pain can be minimized by not getting it done.
