more out of curiousity than anything else. A friend and I got into a discussion about how important it it to read the bible...She informed me that if I was to take a survey that not many people of any faith have read it all the way through. So I was just going to find out.

I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I read they Holy Bible (NCV) daily, along with prayer, praise (www.klove.com) and worship.
It's a daily walk / journey...not just a destination.
Suggested Bible Study:
Begin with the book of Jude (book before Revelation). Read each book from Jude to Matthew. Read daily. There’s no rush, take your time and study it. If you don’t understand it, pray about it. Ask God to reveal Himself.
There are 31 Proverbs. Read the chapter that coincides with the date. If today is the 1st, read chapter 1. Reading a Psalm everyday is also good idea.
Once you have a good understanding of the New Testament, begin studying the Old Testament. Start with Malchi, the last book of the Old Testament. Work your way back to Genesis…book by book. The Old Testament is the law, we as Christians can apply the principles of the Old Testament and live under the grace of Jesus Christ.
NCV = New Century Version (Translation)
NLT = New Living Translation is also very good... ;o)

Yes, I read the entire Bible all the way through at least once a year. It is not hard to do. All you have to do is read 4 chapters a day and by the end of the year you will have read it all the way through. I also go to Bible study, Sunday School and attend church Bible believing / Bible preaching church. (We don't preach out of hymnals or pray out of prayer books) I don't watch television or go to movies or listen to any music that does not glorify God. I believe in The Divine Inspiration of the Scriptures. The whole Bible from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21 as found in the King James Bible and not including any other sources, was written supernaturally and verbally inspired, and is the very word of God, wholly without error.

Yes, I do read and study the Bible. It is very important to know what the bible says and not what people say it says or what preachers say it says. I need to know myself what it says. Reading it over and over helps me to know my God better and better. Of course if I did not have His Spirit in me I would not understand what I am reading. His word is spiritually understood. It is never something to argue about. That comes under the category of judging and has led to people breaking up into one denomination after another which is a wicked sin to God. God wants us to be one in the Spirit. We should be generous to others and allow them to have their view as we have our own. In the end we will know all the truth. Now we see"through a glass darkly" and the most important gift and fruit of the spirit is LOVE.

I'm not religious anymore; I have my own beliefs about the nature of god. I used to be catholic, and I have read the bible twice (long ago).
