baked macadamia nut brie...mmmMMMMMm

its just an appetizer but it is delicous.

Buy some brie from the deli...

Mix macadamia nuts, honey and brown sugar in a bowl and then spread generously over the brie

bake in the oven on 350 for about 30 minutes till the brie is very soft and melted.

spread baked brie over toasted french bread. IT IS SOOOO YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMY!

Banana Macademia Nut Bread recipe

INGREDIENTS

2/3 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
3/4 cup mashed bananas
2 tablespoons margarine, softened
1 egg
3 1/4 cups bread flour
3 tablespoons white sugar
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
2 3/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts

DIRECTIONS

Place ingredient in bread machine in order suggested by your manufacturer. Select sweet bread setting and light crust. Add macadamia nuts when indicated by your manufacturer.

Macadamia Nut Halibut

Serves 4 as a main course

4 6-7oz. Alaskan Halibut Filets
2 cups of bread crumbs (panko or sourdough)
3 cups of macadamia nuts (ground in food processor)
1 pound of salted butter
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
Procedure

Bring butter to boil over medium heat, stiring constantly (being careful not to let it boil over) until all of the solids caramelize and the butter starts to turn a light brown color. Turn off heat and stir occasionally until room temperature. Pre Heat oven to 350 degrees. Toast bread crumbs and macadamia nuts in oven until golden brown. Cool, then in a food processor or by hand, chop the macadamia nuts and add half to the brown butter. Mince the other half and mix with the toasted bread crumbs. Turn oven up to 375 degrees. Dedge the halibut in the bread crumb mixture and saute in in two tablespoons of oil, two filets at a time. When golden brown on one side, finish in the oven approximately 5 minutes depending on the thickness of the filets. When the halibut is cooked, ladle brown butter mixture over the fish and serve. (Make sure to stir butter mixture first). We suggest serving this with a nutty-tasting wild rice pilaf and your favorite vegetable. Bon Appetit.

Marvelous Macadamia Nut French Toast

Ingredients:
Marvelous Macadamia Nut French Toast
4 whole eggs
2/3 cup Orange juice
1/3 cup milk
¼ cup sugar
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 loaf Italian or French bread
½ cup Macadamia nuts (diced)
melted butter


Instructions:
Beat first 6 ingredients with wire whisk. Place bread slices in a single layer in a tight fitting baking dish. Pour milk mixture over bread. Cover and refrigerate over night (turning once).

(Next Day): Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Pour melted butter in a jelly roll pan, spreading evenly. Arrange bread slices in a single layer on pan, sprinkle with Macadamia nuts. Bake 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Serve with real maple syrup and fresh berries.
