Those people who go around damning others are the ones in trouble so I wouldn't worry too much about all those spokespersons for God. To worship and praise is one thing but to go around making decrees is somewhat like playing God, don't you think.? Its fairly clear given the evidence of the last few years that many are deceived by the so-called religious leaders of the present God speaks to hearts of men not through some talking head on TV.

How can you say you are a Christian if you consider yourself to be above God's laws?
Where do you get the idea that being strait is a sin? Sex between a man and his wife is sanctioned, the marriage bed is holy. Sex in a God-ordained marriage (i.e. one man, and one woman) is a gift from God, meant to be enjoyed.
But you know that homosexuality IS a sin...yet you want to indulge in it anyway.
Do you have a Bible? Have you read it? Do you know that there is more to accepting Christ than simply believing in Him? Do you know that demons also believe and tremble?
Do you know that Jesus expects you to repent of your sin (that means, turn away from it)? Do you know that He is willing and able to help you to overcome the sin in your life?
Do you know that Jesus says that if you love Him, you will keep His commandments?
Jesus died for you...He suffered terrible torment and disgrace for you, to save you from the consequences of sin...which is DEATH!!
Do you respect His sacrifice?
Or do you expect to walk up into His Father's mansion, put your feet up on His golden coffee table, and say "Sorry, Lord, I know being gay is a sin, but I just didn't feel like changing my alternative life style for You. Sorry 'bout the cross thing, though...and the scourging...the crown of thorns...the humilation you suffered. It must have been terrible for You. Hope You're feeling better now!"
Cuz, I really don't think that attitude is gonna work.
Good luck with it, though!

A Christian is willing to leave their old sinful life behind and follow Jesus. They surrender to his will, and obey his law. There is no want or need to sin because making God smile is all that matters.

There are numerous verses in the Bible which condemn homosexuality and sexual immorality.

Being a Christian is not like the Australian Government. The Australian Government is willing to drop its standards and invite everyone to come in and do their own thing with no 'discrimination'.

God is not like that. Yes, he will forgive us when we repent of our sin, and turn around and follow him whole-heartedly. It's no picnic, it's hard to leave behind selfish desires, and wants. But that's what God wants, and He deserves it.

Honey, I used to be bisexual. I've had more girlfriends and boyfriends than you've had hot dinners. But, almost a year ago, I gave my life to Jesus. Sure, I've been single ever since. So what! My God is the most important thing in my life, and if that meant giving up sex, smoking, drinking, drugs, (you name it, I used to do it), then fine, I gave it up.

Homosexuality is a sin. When you read your Bible, and realize that God deserves the best you can give him, plus more, you'll know what to do.

I would not say that they can not be SAVED and still gay. Many Christians have what we call a besetting sin. Meaning, a sin we are unable to part with. The problem with most is that they don't acknowledge it as being sin and that it's a perfectly normal, natural thing. They need to acknowledge that it is sin and ask God to help them have victory over that sin. God will help them over come the sin but they first must acknowledge that it is sin.

Mainstream Christianity says that they cannot co-exist with homosexuality. This may change.
At one time they would not abide divorce, now the divorce rates for evangelical Christians is higher than for any other segment of the population (according to a poll I read in one of their own magazines).
They also say that abortion is unacceptable, but having grown up around these types I can tell you that they were the ones having the abortions in order to cover up the fact that they were having sex (gasp!).
So, now the issue is being gay. We'll see how long this lasts.

One who is gay is not truly accepting the truth. They are attempting to live a life against the will of God. Therefore, once they give their lives to Jesus by accepting Him, they then turn away from the "sin nature". You can't continue to live in sin and say that you're saved. The two do not mix. It's with any sin not just homosexuality. It's like oil and water ... it wont work. Besides, it's against the laws of nature. If God commands homosexuality as sin, it's sin. It might feel right but in nature opposite attract ... consider a magnet ... the same sides do not attract to each other. The male and female bodies were made for each other. Anything opposite isn't going to work.

you are very right. to be true, there was a debate on that in my church. going to heaven has nothing to do with the sins you commit but with your faith. you can be gay and be a christian. though, as a christian you are supposed to live out your life according to the bible and and the way Jesus did, and in the bible it says marriage is between man and women. but because sin is viewed as equal in Gods eye, its just another sin. so repent and gays should try not to be. though if gays reuse, and thinks its alright, they continue sinning then theyre not practicing thier faith of christiananity. if they try to stop, and do according to the bible, but they have gay feelings they still can be christian. if they go on doing gay practices and they know its against the christian faith, then they're not following the faith. they still can believe in christ as a saviour, but theyre arent going by they ways of what they claim to be right.

Here is one of looking at it. The scanner at the gate of heaven never lets any human impurities through, never. Sexual perversion does not make it through. Each sinner must part with all sin to arrive in heaven, whether it is a sexual problem or a substance abuse problem, etc. No particular group is singled out, but no sin is in heaven, so either here or herafter people will have to wise up a bit.

I'm not gay, but I do think that there will be people in Heaven that were gay on Earth. If it is a sin, they can be forgiven, as with any other sin. One sin is not any worse than any other sin. However, you must know that you are committing a sin and be sorry for it to be forgiven. I have a problem with certain sins, but I am not going to hell because I keep doing them even though I try to stop.

People are people. Why do we put labels on each other then want to judge them based on differences? A person that loves and desires a person of the same sex report to work, pay taxes, blink, pee and believe in God or not just as a person that loves and desires a person of the opposite sex. What makes them different should be no ones concern. Love them and pray for everyone. I feel we are here to LOVE not judge.
