my god these ppl are rude.
PEOPLE!!!! LEARN THE WORD KIND! HERE U R YELLING ABOUT BAD ROLE MODELS FOR KIDS AND U R ALWAYS TELLING KIDS 2 B NICE AND USE THEIR MANNERS. WHAT KIND OF MANNERS ARE THOSE!?!
k now your question. i no from experience that a girl around 12 would want to learn this so they would b concidered "sexy" at school. but it probably would not b a good idea to let your kid learn pole dancing untill she is a lot older. unless u want a grandchild soon.
hope that was not rude. Sry if it was.

I'm surprised it's not in Texas. The North McKinney High School cheerleaders posted their picture on their myspace in their school cheer uniforms in a condom store playing rather suggestively with some sex toys. The cheerleader coach suspended those involved, but one of the cheerleader's mom (and also the principal of North McKinney High School) reversed the coach saying the picture was innocent. LOL.
I do agree pole dancing is probably good exercise. And according to doctors, sex is good exercise too. Yeah, that's an extreme progression, but still a logical progression. Don't need to teach young kids pole dancing.
There are plenty of other forms of exercise involving dance that is not so blatantly sexual.

Yeah, and then next they can be taught how to be a stripper. It's not a good idea at all! I'm surprised this is coming from Texas since they had all the problems with the cheerleaders and the sexy moves they displayed. It is unacceptable and I think parents should be able to find another way to keep their children active. Has no one heard of a playground or a basket ball? This is insane.

I am a little shocked at this question. Of course it isn't okay for an adult to teach a child how to dance seductively! That is what pole dancing is..... a form of seduction and sexual play.
Personally, I would throw myself an old fashioned hissy-fit and do everything in my power to prevent this form of exercise from being taught to children. If I couldn't prevent the class itself, my child would definitely NOT be participating.
Sometimes we can't prevent what other children are subject to, but it is our right and responsibility to protect our own.

I would never take a child to learn pole dancing! Those people are asking for trouble and there are so many other ways for kids to get exercise. Whatever happened to gymnastics and soccer?

The provacative nature of pole dancing should make that a huge "NO." Not at any grade level - and not as a college course either. Parents would have an attack if they found out they were paying for their daughters to learn that.

Give me a break! That's all we need, as if there aren't enough bad images out there for children already. Not only does this cross the line of decency, it's legally child abuse!
