Depends on which comforter you're talking about.
A: The sizes vary. For some manufacturers, the standard queen comforter measures 86" x 86"; for others, it's like the other guy said, 90" x 90"; for still others, it might be 86" x 90".

A: The dimensions are whatever the tag says - because it varies.

This will also depend on what type of mattress you have. There are some super plush mattress sets that need a bigger comforter because of their height. Measure your mattress, measure how far down you want the comforter to hang on all 3 sides, add the measurements and you have what you need. This would be the most efficient way to get the size you're looking for. Make sure to add an extra couple of inches depending on if you're doing any quilting or gathering of the fabric.

Best of luck to you and Happy Holidays!
