it all depends on what you have in common. what do you like? what are your shared intrests? i would love to get a matching tattoo with my sister but i don't think she would ever get one, so oh well.
just get whatever you feel is right. it doesn't have to be something that makes sense or something that is traditionally a shared tattoo. if you have a favorite something that is the same, then get that. like... if you both love macaroni and cheese... get that. i would.

My brother and I are very close, so I don't think thats stupid. But you have a questionable relationship with him? Maybe you worded that wrong, but if your relationship is questionable, reconsider this idea.
My older bro and I were thinking about getting matching tattoos as well, but it never went through. Try to find something that is common between you two, other than your parents and go with that. If you both like a sport or certain activity, get complimenting tattoos located in the same spot. I really don't know either of you to suggest anything specific, but good luck.

I don't think it's stupid either and everyone has posted a lot of good ideas. I'm thinking about getting a heart with a banner across it with both Mom & my brothers name on the banner OR I've designed a tattoo with my mom's, my own, and my siblings' astroglogical signs all together. My tattoo is more of a family tribute than a sibiling thing though. You could also get his birthdate with flames coming off it to give it color. It's really a personal thing though. As long as you and your brother like it, don't worry about what other people'll think.

It needs to be something that celebrates your relationship and can't be obviously misinterpreted. Some people would find your tattoo idea a little creepy, so you don't want something that looks sexual or otherwise inappropriate.
Maybe a symbol that combines your initials somehow? That would be unique to the two of you, and it would be clearly non-sexual.

I think that it should be an independent choice. What you like now may not be what your brother likes in 10 years. Just don't do each other's names. That would be very creepy.

♥♪♦♫ maybe you two can get the symbol of your sign, or if you want something bigger if you have a picture with you two then take it to the tattoo parlor and have him duplicate the picture. Or maybe you two can get your mothers name or fathers name. of maybe a heart that is broken in two he has one half and you have the other, or a angel's wing you get one half and he gets the other that way you two will always be connected. Something I have seen is a whole family creating a Family crest or a coat of arms if you will and they all got it inked on. You know, do some research on your last name and see what can be designed. Just my .02
