Apparently you can't buy a pellet pistol in stores at NY (you can by BB ones). So I looked online, but every site says they can not ship pellet guns to NY.

Can I drive to PA (where anythings legal...) and bring a pellet gun over to NY?

Yep, you sure can, but don't get caught in N.Y. city
with it.
Here's the law:

Sure, but then it's possibly a Federal crime for interstate transport. I can't swear to that, but sounds about right, doesn't it?

Yeah, it's stupid. Several years ago in the People's Democratic Republic of Massachusetts, I wanted to buy a pellet pistol just to plink targets in my basement. But that would have been a HANDGUN, oh my God!. But, I could get a pellet rifle (with my FID card), which had something like double or triple the muzzle velocity of the pellet pistol. So I did. It was way more deadly than the pistol would have been, but that's all thanks to bozo ignorant anti-gun fanatics who can't craft a reasonable law.

The BB pistols and guns I've seen are useless - you can see the BB drop on its way to a target 25 feet away, they're like spitballs.

Depends on if POSSESSION is legal where you live.

You can buy it in PA or have it shipped to a friends house in NJ if you want.

I'd like to see the law, but that link takes you to "Bill Status Search By Bill Number". I don't know the bill number.
