It depends on the lending authority of the person you are dealing with. The branch manager probably has the authority to approve $10,000 on the spot if your credit score is good enough. If your score is lower or the manager is not available, your application may need to be referred to someone in the lending department for review. This could be in a different location or even a different state.

That would really depend on your credit rating. If you have really good credit it wouldn't take but a few minutes inside the branch. If you have bad credit, you would have to find a lender that would finance you, that could take as little as a few days to months.
