When i'm with my boyfriend and his friends, he loves showing off . He'll hug me, touch my arm repeatedly, kiss me. It doesn't bother me, but I'm having some doubts about his sincerity. How do i know if he's only going out with me because he wants a girlfriend to show off in front of his friends, or if he's going out with me because he genuinely has feelings for me?

He is affectionate when we're alone. But he sometimes ignores me for days then he calls me, and i have a feeling he was feeling obliged to do so. plus, kissing me in front of his friends..i find it a little inappropriate.

It really depends on how he acts when his friends aren't around. The time that you have alone with him are the times where you can find out if he really cares for you or if you're just a trophy girlfriend. If you notice that said boyfriend is alot more affectionate to you when his friends are around, then more than likely, he doesn't have genuine feelings for you.

A lot of guys like to show off their girls, and there is nothing especially wrong with that. But you might want to take that part of your relationship out and look at everything else separately. If the rest of your relationship has that comfortable degree of intimacy and he's giving you the usual signs that he cares about you, then you're golden. Otherwise your suspicions might be right.

You're projecting. Women love to parade a boyfriend in front of their friends, but guys don't care about that at all. Yeah, we swap stories, but ultimately we're after a girl for ourselves.

OMG.... Let me see you are actually complaining about him being affectionate to you?
You sound like a chaos junkie. You are one of those women that aren't happy unless you are miserable. If he is affectionate towards you, you have to complain he is affectionate. If he didn't you would complain about him not being affectionate towards you.
My best advice towards you would be start looking at the good things in your life and stop looking for the bad. If you are looking for bad you will find bad. Whether it is real or imaginary. Which I am assuming mostly you are finding imaginary.

Tough call to make from here. You need to decide based upon how he acts when no one else is around and then when other are to determine if there is a difference. If so, talk to him about it as it is bothering you. He cares about your feelings he will listen and modify his behavior accordingly.

Ask him that question... no one on this page will be "entirly' correct. does he kiss you and touch your arm repeatedly when his friends aren't around... if he does the same thing behind and infront his friends, then it's sincere love.

ASK HIM!!!! And maybe study him for a week and find out!!!!! There's a 50:50% chance that he's just showing off or really loves you!!!

well how does he treat you when you are not with his friends, when your alone? when your with your friends? in class? you know that stuff
I wouldn't really worry about it though because if he shows you off than the other guys are going to notice you too.

Simple. If he wants to spend time with you when his friends aren't there then he wants you. He would only parade you when his friends are there if thats all he wants you for.
