It is not because a desert is dry since a long time that it is natural.
Old civilisations died because thay forgot the water managment need a know-how.

They are both. Some are natural, some are man made. There is a desert in the state of Maine (USA) that was made because a pig farmer overgrazed a lot of land.

Deserts are formed due to rock erosion or mountain orison in windy activity.Many many plans are in effect to stop spreading of deserts.How Israel turns deserts into a fertile land.It's not an human activities to build up a desert.Nature cause the problems due to ecological way.

Some of both. Some deserts are natural, and some were caused by over farming and over grazing of fragle environments that were on the borderline.
