Why do ladies act like it's so bad for guys to cheat or talk about females a certain way, but then when it is THEM that the guy is attracted to, it's ok? "oh we're just friends", when you know it's more!?!?

I've been thinking about this lately too.
I don't actually understand where this double-standard comes from. Or why women seem to think it's ok for them to cheat when it's heinous for a man. Personally I think it's all just wrong.
I think it basically comes down to the fact that women assume that men can't be trusted. It's the whole stereotype of men only thinking with what's in their pants etc. Women are incredibly jealous creatures, for the most part, and are sometimes shocked to discover that men are just as possessive if not more.
I guess women like to think that they can resist temptation, whilst men cannot. It's all pathetically sad really. No wonder relationships these days just don't work.

Because its a two way street: I could turn around what you said and say 'Why do men act like its so bad for ladies to cheat or talk about males a certain way, but when it is THEM that the girl is attracted to.." It's human nature..if you don't want to be cheated on, find someone honest and sincere, there's not much else to do.

I think women find it easier to be friends with the opposite sex than men....I had a best male friend for years. We were just friends...periodically he would try it on...but I would gently put him in his place.
I can't talk for other women but I seem to have this can't cheat, won't cheat gene. I would say that the women mean it when they say the guy is just a friend...the friend on the other hand usually has other ideas

Well, for one, don't group us all together! =P
And it's never a cool thing to cheat...
And you never know if it's really "more".
But double standards suck, and some people are like that. Not all of us, by the way, do that, and I would just like to let you know that ^_^
There are things that are just different and I don't know why...I had always wondered if the the movie "Chicago" had been based aroung guys who killed their wifes would have been so widly accepted. Agitating.

It's just how it is, after all if you are the one cheating, its not like the girl is betraying anyone's trust, its the man.... a cheater is a cheater and whoever cheats should be held responsible, not the other women, or the other man.

it really is heavily different, i see your element because it does sound like that yet at the same time as a guy is shirtless hes attempting to educate off to women and guysto make himself look cool and w/e yet at the same time as a woman dresses up and seems fantastic she isnt doing it sense cool or to get interest she has a tendency to do it to sense worth of date or so that you already know you picked a warm female who cares about how she seems/ she is having ego issues and desires the strengthen to sense more desirable ideal/ she is intimidated by using yet another female and is afraid to loose you so she tries to look her best. at the same time as a woman does some thing it has a tendency to be about a collection of reason its no longer fairly a double familiar its more desirable a special out search for women a guy taking his blouse off and flexing potential that he's showing off (for any reason) at the same time as a woman shows off it really is more desirable for herself then everybody else.

Is it a double standard, or is it just weak, ambiguous, people lacking any sense of morals or character?
