Yes, several times. I'll tell you about one. When I was going through infertility treatments, found myself deeply depressed and suffering loss, and feeling like my life had no purpose - I had a divine encounter with Leviathan. Basically, I was beginning to doubt my beliefs altogether because no truly loving deity would ever put me through such pain. Basically, what happened was as I was praying and having a self-pity party - one of my cats batted a pen in my direction and it hit me in the leg. A warm feeling washed over me that was so compassionate and loving. Then, a tiny voice inside my mind said, "Well, instead of sitting here in hopeless despair you can either waste the time you've got, or live life and use the time doing something you love. You're a writer, woman! So write!" That's when it occurred to me that I do have a purpose, and that purpose was one that children (at this time in my life) would only hinder. For years I'd been a failed writer who had never finished any of my novels or books. After that divine encounter - I completed two novels, started two more, and wrote 2 NF books and a short story in the space of a year. Within a year and a half - I had two publishing contracts for books and one for the short story.

Never again will I doubt myself or my personal relationship with the Gods of my understanding. I'm convinced they saved my life.

Yes.
I have been in the presence of divine, as well as other spirits.
The smells of benevolent spirits are strong, unique and very beautiful. I have seen and spoken openly to these heavenly-beings several times and have nearly open communication with spirits of another class. Rarely do I see, smell, and hear them at the same time but it does happen. If you believe in something you open up the possibilities to a whole new world.

Yes, it started at a young age, when I had a vision. The basics of what happen was; the sky opened up to another dimension I saw a great light that gives life, it presence over whelmed me. It consciousness flow through me and I was not in my body and saw with my whole being. End of that one. Now days from time to time I have a bright radiant glow that flows from with-in onto the world to see.

Yes I did. I saw my guardian angel for the first time (12 years ago) and came to me like a messenger ~ only I was not dreaming. And NO I was not hallucinating. I know exactly what I saw, and seeing an angel is nothing comparable to what we see here on Earth. ANGELS are real ~ my friend, just as there is a real Heaven as well as a real Hell. End of my story. Other things are better left unsaid.

Yes, I have had several divine encounters. I am happy to share a bit with you, but please realize that each person's definition of "divine encounter" may be different, as such an experience is deeply personal, and only the one who has the experience can truly determine if the label of divine is appropriate.

In 1969, on an early May morning, I "dreamed" the most vivid dream that I had ever had. Long story short, in my dream I saw a former boyfriend, whom I had loved dearly and passionately (although innocently); I was with my husband, but when I saw Jerry, he laughed, stood up and gave me a wonderful hug, and as I hugged him back, the words "I love you" flowed between us--not as spoken words, but as clearly understood thoughts. It was truly a joyous, wonderful moment. My husband and I were walking along the coliseum bleachers, just before the start of our college basketball game, looking for friends; Jerry was on the first row, a little ways down, and saw me before I saw him. As our embrace ended, I saw that the R.O.T.C. boys had entered the floor with their flags and guns, and suddenly I heard the guns go off, and I heard people screamimg and yelling, and Jerry was no longer in my arms. Something was very wrong--the ROTC boys never really shot their guns. The wonderful, joyful feeling of a moment before was replaced by bad, frightening negative feelings, as if everybody around me was disgusted or repulsed by ???. I woke immediately; the vividness of the dream amazed me, but the bad ending left me confused. Later that morning, I shared the dream with my husband, and confirmed with him that when or if I should see Jerry again, it would be OK to hug him--that my husband would understand that he was someone from my past that I had loved and would always have special feelings for, but he was no threat to our marriage. My husband had such friends in his life, whom we saw rather frquently, and hugs were automatic! ( I thought maybe the bad vibes were because I had hugged, and said I loved, a man other than my husband.) The dream stayed with me all that day, and I shared it with several friends; that evening, we went to a party, and again I shared the dream. Then I let it go.....until...

Two weeks later, I received a letter from my sister; enclosed in the letter was an obituary--for Jerry. His helicopter was shot down while going in to rescue injured on Hamburger Hill (Vietnam). On the same day as my "dream". I thought he was in med school in the states--but he had volunteered to be a medivac pilot, as there was a dire need, and the medivac pilots were all volunteer positions (or so his mother later told me).
Was this a "divine" encounter? Yes, for me it was. Jerry came to tell me good-by, and to tell me that he loved me. What a divine gift!
In June, my husband and I visited his parents, and I shared my "dream" with them. His mother had also had a very vivid dream about him, and a couple of days later had "seen" him in her dining room, while he was still MIA--that was when she knew that he was dead. In her dream, he and she argued-gently-about whether it was Tuesday or Thursday. They were later told that it took two days for rescue teams to get to the bodies. I will always remember her beautiful explanation of our dreams: "Jerry must have needed the people who loved him very much, and he knew where to find them."

Do I believe these were "dreams"? No. They were divine visits, very clear and very specific. Jerry knew we needed to know he loved us as much as he needed us in his time of death. He left with no unfinished business.

Does this meet your criteria for a divine encounter? This is my 1st time on this resource--thanks for the question!

Yes, more than once.

Both times, I could feel the Holy Spirit touch me. Once on my head and once on the arm. Both times, I was in prayer...I opened my eyes and no physical body was there.

It was awesome!

God and I talk at least once a day. You can do the same by praying.
