Is it the litter, his scratching post, or dehydration?

I've had a cat that had that same problem,i had to keep lotion on her paw everyday!When you get the lotion,make sure it has aloe in it,and keep her rubbed down really good for about a week and that will solve yoor problem hun.I hope this helps you out good luck.

Most likely the litter in the litter box, change to a different type for a while to see.

You didn't give enough information about your cat. You might call your vet to see if there is a cat lotion to put on his/her paws.

it is dry skin try bag balm it is a cream foundaround thehand cream at the drug store it is also use on cows
