Either he is highly insecure or he has a problem. If you want your space then tell him... give him an ultimatium... stop being so overprotective and let me breathe or else! lol... if he can't respect that then he isn't worth your time... Easier said than done I know..but take it from someone that just wasted 5 years of her life with someone that was someone completely different during our intial year of dating

If he's too protective then you need to set some ground rules right away. And if he continues you should break up because the will just continue to be more protective and be controlling of you.

IS HE OVER PROTECTIVE OR IS HE OVER BEARING. YOU NEED TO KNOW THE DIFFERENT BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T YOU ARE HEAD FOR A REAL BAB SITUATION. HE WILL MAKE YOU WISH YOU HAD NEVER MET HIM IN MORE WAYS THEN ONE. IF HE WANTS TO GO EVERYWHERE WITH YOU THIS IS BAD, STOP HIM NOW. IF HE WANTS TO PICK YOUR FRIENDS STOP HIM NOW. IF HE SHOWS UP ALL THE TIME UNINVITED STOP HIM. DON'T WORRY YOU CAN'T STOP BECAUSE IT IS IN HIM. IF THIS IS THE KIND OF PROTECTION YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT, YOU ARE WRONG, THIS IS SOME THAT WILL BE IN TOTAL CONTROL OF YOU SOONER THAN YOU KNOW. ONE MORE THING THIS TYPE OF GUY ENJOYS TELLING HIE GF WHAT TO WEAR ALSO.

be straight with him tell him all the things you like about him and tell him that he has to stop being over protective, it is not good in a relationship. and if he won't stop, well then i would find someone else that is not and cares about how you feel.

Sometimes it's good to have an overprotective boyfriend but if it gets to out of line make sure he knows it or else.

Spend less time with him. It's that simple. Spend more time with your friends and leave him to fend for himself. He'll have to develop a social life of his own that way.
