I live in canada, anytime is a good time to come because there is things going on every day practically. IN the winter time there is ice castles in Quebec, In the summer time there is TONS of different types of festivals and things. Its not that cold where I live..in Nelson BC the lowest we get in the winter is minus 20 degrees, in other places its cold. There is alot of tourists in the summer BUT its faboulous in ANY season but good months to go in are July, August, December, Febuary, April or May.

Starting in May, most of Canada comes out of it's deep-freeze and springtime is wonderful here. The Coast of British Columbia is great at that time, and remains so until at least September, so Vancouver, or the areas surrounding it, Vancouver Island (Victoria or Nanaimo) and the Gulf Islands especially will just knock your socks off with there natural beauty and friendly people!!!!

If you don't want to be there for winter (and winter in Canada is cold and lonnng), go in July or August. That's when it's usually the warmest, although how warm it is depends on where you are. If you're in the mountains in Alberta you can still get snowed on in July.

September is good. Not as hot as the summer (in Ontario anyway) but not cold yet for winter. One of the more temperate months.
