I am making progress towards being his friend, (even though i really actually want to date him!), but i am unsure if he even likes me at all. He is really nice to me, but he is also older. If I ask him just to hang out...will he be weirded out by the fact that i am 2 grades younger and that we arn't actually "friends" yet?

The best way in my opinion is to invite him to do things in group setting, invite common, mutual friends to do something like go watch a movie. After he seems comfortable with that ask him to do something just the two of you. Move when it feels natural.

Well don't be all upset about the situation that he doesn't like you.Just don't be to forward like being really obvious that you like him.Maybe talk to him maybe about Monday night football!He will really like it that you mentioned something that he likes.He will appreciate that you noticed.He's not into football?Maybe mention something that he does find interesting?But if that doesn't work, then maybe go out with someone else.Hope i helped and Good Luck!

No thats how you get to know a person,,,,by talking to them and hanging out with them. I dont think he will be wierded out at all. He might actually be waiting for you to ask him. Maybe hes shy for all you know.. But if you want to get to know him your best bet is invite him to hang with you. Good luck.
