get a student loan or go to your county's job and family services office because most places offer free money for students just trying to better themselves. leave credit cards alone.

A student loan would be much better than a credit card. Student loans have grace periods, whereas credit cards are due within 30 days, if not sooner. Also, credit cards typically charge higher rates, unless you intend to pay off the debt in full, in which case a credit card could be an option. If you do not intend to pay the balance in full, opt for a student loan.

Do you have any credit history? If you do, get a credit card. In fact, I'm in the business of selling credit cards and I can get you a sign-up bonus and 0% interest rate. Just contact me for that.

If you have NO credit history, then you need to get a loan. Try and get the loan from family and friends. If you can't do that, then you will need a family member with good credit history to co-sign a loan for you at the bank.

If you can't do any of that, then get a payday loan. I can hook you up (contact me) as long as you are employed and get paychecks. The money could get to you within 3 days from now at the quickest.

If you want to view your credit report for free, go to annualcreditreport.com. Unfortunately, it won't tell you your FICO credit score for free, it only shows you a report. If you want to see your FICO score for free, once again - contact me. I run a business that deals in this kind of stuff.

You might also want to consider going to your school's financial aid office and file an appeal form. In order for your appeal to be successful, you need to explain some sort of unusual circumstance that has harmed your finances. You also need to explain why your income (and your parent's income) will be lower THIS year than it was last year (they figure out financial aid based on last year's taxes).

Personal loans have high interest rates, but so do most credit cards, check for specials at your local banks. If you are responsible, start with a low limit credit card, could be a good way to establish your good credit.

You should look for a school loan, they are usually less interest. You could find a credit card that has low interest rates. I have seen some that will give you a low interes rate for the life of that balance.
Just be carefull and look around. Check out your college financial aid office, first.

Loan is going to take you time and effort... Credit Card may save time and give you 30 days (give or take) to work (Christmas break) to pay off the 'loan'.
