I don't keep in contact with mine...I have no reason too... some people might if they ended on good terms. my husband only talks to his ex because of their daughter...it all depends on the situation i guess!

It took almost 3 years before me and my x became friends again. And upon reuniting with him, I found out he wanted to be in my life the whole time. He would drive by my house just to see me in the window to make sure I was okay.
I think to a certain level, you should keep x's in your life. They know you well, and prob love you alot, why wouldint you want that person there for you when you need them?

It really depends on why you broke up. I had a terrible break up and I still talk to my ex. He's like my best friend. But it does tend to get messy...
It might be better if you just broke up and stayed apart...

Just ignore them and let them be. If you have to work together or they start a conversation, then be polite and be nice, but otherwise there's no reason to contribute to a relationship that no longer exists.

It all deepens on your past relationship,I have a good relationship with my ex,still today! You must know the answer,your ex must know,once you both know, everything is fine.

i think it totally has to do with how long you were together if we are talking years then yeah they should be in your life cuz you both know everything about each other and whether you admit it or not there is alot of love and respect there

yes, well we used to talk and catch up, but just before he remarried he asked me to take him back, I said no so now he's married again and all I get from his new wife are dirty looks, wonder what he told her.
