hmm... sounds a bit strange to me, but here you go:

"en verdad extraño a mi Sergio cuando fue encerrado"

if what you are trying to say is something more like *i really missed my sergio when he got locked up* would be this:

"en verdad extrañe a mi sergio cuando se quedo encerrado"
(this is asuming he got locked up in a car, a room or whatever)

.... unless by locked up you mean in jail?
