Close your eyes and count backwards from 500 down to 1. As you are doing each number, slowly trace the shape of the number on the insides of your eyelids with your eyeball. Do not worry if your mind wanders a bit at first. Eventually the counting will help to clear out the racing thoughts and the eyeball movement will make your eyes really tired.

You cant get rid of insomnia at all. the best way is to let it run its course the more you worry about it the worse it will get. there is a muscle relax herbal supplement called Valerian, it will help the brain relax a little. but it doesnt do that much. My advice is stay up while you have it and sleep when you can and dont stress about it. I have it bad too. its frustrating, so i sympathise with you.

Soft music always helps me. It calms you down.
You should try it.
You can also try reading because it makes you
sleepy, but make sure you get a good book
that doesn't exactly make you want to read more. I hope you sleep better.

We had been eating dishes with curry & cumin and got insomnia . . .
Then we went for serious BBQ . . . knocked us out, slept for hours.
Check your food plan . . . maybe source of insomnia ?
Try BBQ for cure !
