Some people here are right, but there are 2 ways of saying it, the correct way is
Mi hijo (my son)
Mi hija (my daughter)
In México we also use short words for this 2 sentences and they are:
Mi´jo (my son)
Mi´ja (my daugther)

My daughter: Mi hija
My son: Mi hijo
They are pronounced "miha" and "miho" when spoken quickly. (J, of course, is silent.)
