As long as you are not allergic, the worst that will happen is an upset stomach.

Possibly the Ibuprofen could kill you. The penicillin dose you mentioned is within normal range of a therapeutic dose. For prescription use, ibuprofen comes in 600mg and 800mg dose. But unlike over the counter use, they are given every 6, 8, or 12 hours. It helps more with inflammation in this dosing/strength. It people susceptible to microbleeding in the stomach, high doses of NSAIDS could cause them to bleed out and die. I've seen it happen before.

Other than an upset stomach, nothing is likely to happen to most people at those levels, but even normal doses of ibuprofen can cause significant side-effects even in healthy people, and that's multiplied if the dose is higher and/or the person has medical problems.and to a lesser extent the same is true of penicillin. If you know an emergency physician or nurse, s/he can tell you of the typical case of a teenage girl taking this sort of combination after her boyfriend breaks up with her. The psychology of the situation is the major focus, and behind the compassion there's also a little tiny bit of a sense of justice if she has vomiting, diarrhea and a yeast infection.

I would not think you would die, might not have any achey joints, but might have an upset stomach. If it were Tylenol you would be much worse off. The PCN 2500 mg, would make your urine and stool smell funky for a while, but, don't we give whopping doses for VD and other serious infections. It might also upset the stomach, but shouldn't kill you unless you are allergic. I have seen many patients take large doses of such meds just because they think "the more, the better" Ibuprofen reaches a maximum effective dose, so, it just would not get "better" after the 800 mg.

The maximum prescribed dose of Ibuprofen is 800mg. tablets, with only 1 tablet suggested every 4-6 hours.5 tablets would probably cause some gastric upset and could lead to ulcers or gastric bleeding.Using Ibuprofen with aspirin, alcohol or corticosteroids may increase the risk of adverse gastro-intestinal reactions. The maximum dose for adults for Penicillin is 500mg. every 4-6 hours and only for the duration prescribed by a reputable physician.

The maximum daily dose of Ibuprofen is 3 doses of 800 mgs each. That's 2400 mgs a day. Safely.
More than that will be very likely to cause problems with the liver.
I don't take pennicillin since I'm very allergic to it. So yes, it would probably kill me to take that much. LOL

The 3000 mg of ibu might cause quite an upset stomach and possible bleeding. It can also cause kidney damage, not so much liver, but thats usually when someone takes high doses over extended periods of time.

The penicillin might cause stomach upset and probably a good case of diarrhea

Is this suppose to be a trick question? Generally speaking, the dosages you are talking about are quite safe. But I suppose anything is possible. If you are allergic, if you choke, if the pills also have a deadly poison mixed in, if the pills cause you to be so blurry-eyed that you crash your car... then you could die. But the probability of it happening is very low.

The ibuprofen is safe at that dose. There is a prescription med called motrin that is 400mg per pill.

I don't know about the pennicillin.
