You ask Christ to forgive you your sins, and quit sinning. If you slip up and sin, ask Him to forgive you. You no longer choose to sin.

Which of the Ten Commandments have you broken? Your in trouble even if you've broken just one just like the rest of humanity.
For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. James 2:10
"And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment." Hebrews 9:27
"But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8
Sin and hell are married unless repentance proclaims divorce!
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6
"The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!" Mark 1:15
"Produce fruit in keeping with repentance." Matthew 3:8
Repentance means to turn from your sinful ways.
Read your Bible and become a VERB of the Word! OBEY!

John 3:16 "God loved the world so much he gave is only begotten Son the whoever believes in him not perish but have eternal life".
Pray to God, ask Him to forgive you of your sins, believe in His son and ask Him into your heart... basically except the gift that is eternal life, that's it. Through this you will achieve a personal relationship with Christ that will guide you in your days on Earth. There is nothing else you'll need to do, or nothing else you can do!

Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."
Romans 6:23 says "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Another verse says "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
God sent his Son Jesus to the earth to be born of a virgin. After Jesus was born, He lived a perfect life. In his lifetime, he fulfilled over 100 prophecies that we're made way before He was even born. When he was 33 years old, He was crucified on a cross. But 3 days later, he rose again from the grave, conquering death for all mankind.
All you have to do is confess to God that you're a sinner, and that you want to live for him from now on. If you really mean it in your heart, he'll give you a home in heaven.

You've got it backwards actually.
Eternal life is true reality. You are an eternal spirit on an adventure trip in the physical world. You were pretty brave and daring to leave Paradise and come here to experience this world. When you've accomplished what you came here for you'll return to Paradise, where you may choose to do it all over again.

I am so thankful that you asked this question. Eternal life is found only in Jesus Christ. Admit that you are a sinner, and in need of a Savior. Jesus will forgive you of ALL your sins, like He did mine, and you will become new in Him and know with certainty that you will live eternally with Him. Great question!!

You don't get into heaven after death, you get there before it. Let me explain... You have to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, that he died for you, that is how you get into heaven. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved." Ask God to forgive your sins, to make you whole, to love you. Believe that he is the one true God, and that he regiens. Give your heart to the Lord and walk in his ways. That is out you get eternal life. By the grace of God and the shedding of his son's blood, you are saved. Believe that, and pray to the Lord. We are all sinners, and only by God's grace will we see heaven.
MERRY CHRISTMAS

All salvation comes by using understanding Christ. those who do no longer understand him will be left in the back of at the same time as the rapture takes position. because the Catholic Church is a man made church few are fairly kept it may look to me, although the Lord stands proud because the decide and he's conscious what's in our hearts and what we are doing and how a lot we adore him. We ought to keep our eyes on him each of the time. If we backslide we ought to continuously repent and stay in the note.

There was a scholar of the law 11 who stood up to test him and said, "Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?"
Jesus said to him, "What is written in the law? How do you read it?"
He said in reply, "You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your being, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself."
He replied to him, "You have answered correctly; do this and you will live."
Luke 10: 25-28
I think that pretty much explains it.
