May i start by saying I'm very proud of my surname and i don't want to loose it because there are no more males to carry on the surname even though I am a female ! This is my mothers maiden name and i kept it out of respect for my grandparents that brought me up during the first nine years of my life, it's brook which is a English name which came from people which lived near the water brook's some are called brookbanks because they lived near to the banks of the brook.

Every name means something. Often today's names are quite apparent. Johnson is son of John. Benfield derived from bean-field. Many less apparent names stem from foreign languages. Changing a person's name actually changes conditions because a name leads its owner into certain pathways to bring out certain results. Name changing has even existed in the heavens with intelligently planned results.

My first name, Jessica, comes from the Greek name Iscah which means, "YHWH beholds." My middle name, Dawn, is rather obvious. I haven't been able to figure out my last name yet.
