By getting too caught up in telling people what is right and what is wrong the Christian churches of today are creating more of a divide than a unification. Churches are making the religion too complex when it's really simple. And how did George W. win the Christian vote? I guess since he mentions God in his statements it gives him the right to kill thousand's of Iraqis and put thousand of US troops in danger. Wake up Christians!!!! What's worse than a Atheist, how about a President that claims he's a Christ follower just to get your vote and then gives the thumbs up to create mass murder. The bible says to forgive not kill.

You are very right on so many levels. Christians are detrimental to their own cause, because most people who claim to be Christians are actually following a popular trend. I mean it must be pleasant to be good and wholesome and right all the time. But the truth is, Christianity is not the easy life. So, I propose that true and genuine followers of Christ be called exactly that, Christ-followers. As a Christ-follower I believe what Jesus said, that as a Christ-follower my life will be difficult. I am held to a higher standard for my life. I must be willing to "die to myself" so that Christ may live in me. I must love and serve and forgive. I don't need words to preach, my actions of compassion will be loud enough. All of this to say, I agree with you. Christianity has become a market. It's sad.

Jesus was angry exactly one time in the Bible. And that is when the money changers were using his Father's house for fun and profit. There is little difference when politicians use the name of Jesus or God in order to further their political agendas or drum up votes and cash for campaign finance. I am very surprised that Christians do not see through this. Christianity is supposed to be a religion of peace. Nowhere does Jesus make anyone conform to his own views or teachings by force. Christians win the hearts of others through love; not through law. Christians would do well to remember that, and stop trying to force their religion onto other people (i.e. school prayer, laws based on religious belief like stem cells and abortion etc.). When religion and politics mix, it hurts both religion and politics.

Who cares what the SCOUTS say it truly is. The very best courtroom ruled it replaced into no longer an emblem of Christianity - because deep down they knew that leaving it up as an emblem of christianity replaced into the Gov't backing One faith over yet another and that is unconstitutional. that is why the best courtroom ruled the way it did, to close up the ppl who would aspect it out that it truly is a non secular image. Geez human beings..... New marketing campaign - Thor's Hammer on the White abode.

You must be reading the Quran...My Bible says:

"PREACH THE WORD, in season and out...reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and doctrine; for the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine...but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers telling them what they WANT to hear...." (2Tim.4:2)

Gandhi said it best: "I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. They are not at all like your Christ."
