No. Iran is no immediate threat to Israel, Ahmenajad's (sp?) polemic rantings are intended only to win the support of the general Arab anti-Israel lobby and so place him in a position of some importance.

But in reality, he knows perfectly well that if he attacked Israel, it would be a case of mutally assured destruction for both nations. He may be a a bigot, but he's not an idiot.

No. Iran is a threat to Israel and Israel will take military and political measures and precautions to look after itself as always but a nuclear attack will never be one such measure. Iran will carry on aggravating Israel with wordplay and supporting terrorist organizations but likewise it will not assault Israel. Iranians know Israeli and Western retaliation would be crushing.

Isreal would not dare nuke Iran. Israel won't even admit it has nukes. It might make a strike with conventional weapons but if Iran is smart they ill have learned from Iraq and built fake decoy targets. Iran must have taken into account the possibility of a pre-emptive Israeli attack and set up fake facilities for the Israelis to bomb. Then that attack would give Iran reason to retaliate, and the war against Israeli terror is really on.

That depends on Iran.

I hope not.

But as Ben Elieazer said, "sometimes the option of last resort is the only option"

I think it far more likely that Iran, or "independent" terrorists funded and enabled by them will nuke Israel. Of course, if that happens it is pretty darned likely that Israel will use its (presumed) nuclear capability to defend itself.

I hope so...better if Israel does it before Iran can! Not that Iran would succeed anyway!

Only if the Iranian President has the Holocaust he is dreaming of. Oh that is right. he doesn't believe the Holocaust ever happened. So the answer would be no.
