i already have a son and his name is dominick and i am worried nicholas may be too close and jacklynn is after my father jack.

Jacklynn can cause a lot of frustration when the baby gets in school, its been my middle name, and spelling it out all the time, when people assume its spelled differently can be annoying.

I like "Nicholas" -- "nick" is a great nick-name (pun intended!).

I have a daughter named Alyssa, so I guess you could say I'm partial to that one too. She's 5, and cute as a button :)

We called our 5yr old Nicholas. Love it Love it Love it...lol but I am biased. We call him Niknak.
As for a girl...I like Alyssa. They are names that r good for kids and strong adult names.
