Because identical twins are genetically exact in every way. One egg that splits into two will be identical whereas fraternal twins are two separate eggs altogether.
When a child is conceived, the DNA does it's twirling dance that makes up the physical characteristics of the child. Since this happens well before the egg splits into two, the traits are already determined.
If you have two apples that fall off of the same tree, they may have the same origin, but they change as they grow much like two siblings who are different ages. But with identicals, the apple itself would have to split into two for the apples to be genetically exact.

They don't always. Fraternal twins are twins that are created from two separate eggs and two separate sperm. Fraternal twins could look as different as any other brother/sister combination. Identical twins were one egg and one sperm that then split to become two people. In other words, identical twins SHOULD have been ONE person, but some unexplainable thing in nature split them into two. Science has not yet been able to explain why this happens. Identical twins have the exact same DNA pattern. They're natural clones.

One egg splits in two and makes twins. Same egg, same looks. You can also be a twin but not look alike. That's when 2 eggs get fertilized at the same time.

Only identical twins look alike. But I'm not exactly sure.
I know they have the same DNA...they come from the
same egg, they just split

because when they are in the sack, in the mother stomach, when they get there genes the same ones goes to each of them like if they share an egg sack they will be identical and get almost the same of evertything but if they are ferternal, which mean s they dont share an egg sack they have sepreate ones, they get a lot of the same traits but not all so okay?
